Wat the ****
Oh shut up, thread title is "International down?".
I commented on Seacom which has a history of outages (planned or not), I never said anything about MWEB but you jumped in there like a rabbit dog and brought them up, wtf?
TI usually don't have international issues like this. Seacom regularly seems to have issues, why aren't they as reliable as the other carriers?
This is an MWEB thread and you mentioned one of / their main backbones regularly being down. Yet MWEB is never down. So I'm a bit unsure of your point?
postmanpot when he hears the word mweb.
Get lost, the thread is not about mweb but the seacom planned maintenance, I never mentioned MWEB!!!
Are you referring to its impact on ISPs and the end user, or from a maintenance point of view? Perhaps these are the same thing.
Faults & maintenance. Not the same thing. Some ISPs don't use them, others use a combination of carriers, others get more traffic allocated on other carriers when the scite hits the fan one one but at the end of the day my reply was directly related to seacom & not about any isp's that use them or how they mitigate these events.

what the hell have I done?![]()
Crystal web working just fine for me. As is FNB connect incidentally.
Internet the way it should be. No single points of failure.
You mean you didn't experience some once-off slow international yesterday? Were you using Seacom yesterday?
Just trying to understand your comment in relation to the discussion.
The topic says "International down?".
My comment says I had no issues at all. If you can't see the relevance then perhaps you need glasses?![]()
That it does. I was more focussed on the maintenance ending at 22h00 last night.
Possibly explains your obsession with plasma tv as well![]()
