International FTP bog-slow?

Hi there

Is international FTP screwed? Because I can't download from HP's website, and transfer rate from SCO's site is 0.7KB/s

It is a combination of a few factors... first of all HP's FTP site is notoriously slow... the best thing you can do is wait until after hours in the USA. Second, ftp is sometimes shaped by SAIX, as are all other protocols other than HTTP. Thirdly some ADSL routers are known to also give problems with FTP transfers... for eg. the Billion routers.

Good Luck... you can go to http://www.filemirrors.com/ and see if you can find the file elsewhere... or use a download manager like getright that automatically searches for you.

HP's servers are always kark slow bru, I'm not even joking.
Try somewhere else, like Epson or something.
