I'm getting an iPhone from the USA. Is it possible to activate it on vodacom to make it think it's a prepaid iPhone so I don't need to unlock and jailbreak it?

I'm pretty sure the answer is NO. It will need to be unlocked so you will probably need to use redsn0w to jailbreak on the latest 3.0 OS and then wait for ultrasn0w to unlock it.
I'm assuming it is a 3G iPhone (which the above applies), if it is a original 2G model then you can do all this already and no need to wait for ultrasn0w

Yeah, it's a 3G non-S. Will MMS work standard or do I need to do something to get it functioning?
