now although I can ping the server on 88.198.7.11, the website running there gives me a Gateway Timeout error. It seems there is a 100% packet loss between hop 6 & 9 (check here: http://imagebin.org/119354). Who can I kick to get this working again?

If there was any packet loss you would not have been able to ping 88.198.7.11. Some routers are configured not to respond to pings and/or traceroute requests. The Gateway Timeout error you are receiving is most likely a temporary problem at the data center in which the server is hosted for www.10minutebraindump.com.

Not sure (siting in a coffee shop on their free internet) but I have ad someone check on iBurst and it was the same problem.

That said, seems to be working again now.
