[International] Javascript Developers [$5000pm - $7000pm]

Well selling your soul to the devil is something a developer has to regularly contemplate and in fact do but it seems here at least the price is right, so what's not to love?

Hi, Hola is recruiting and looking to expand to 200 developers this year, currently on 60.

Hi Gezza, not a scam at all. Everyone has the right to their own assumptions and opinions.

I would be very skeptical when a company which doesn't seem to have a website and business is a Chrome addin requires 140 new developers. I don't think google or microsoft ever increase by by that amount of devs at a time. Assuming an average salary of $7000pm. You're looking at an additional wage bill for the first year of about 12 million USD. That is like 192 million Rand

The ad does sound suspicous.

The domain andromedarecruit.co.za was also registered 2.5 months ago. Can't see how one can blame people's scepticism

If a company was hiring 140 new devs they would not use recruiters but would have ads themselves on sites like stackoverflow.

For 140 I rather goto a recruiter so they do the work of vetting.

This looks worrying, like they're trying to harvest information.

You are correct, we registered ARC in November last year after breaking away from another agency, I myself would be concerned too, that's why we are working hard at proving that we are a "legit" and preferred recruitment partner. We can only build our reputation by our actions, if that means joining forces with the Illuminati for "Recruitment World Domination" to be the best, then that is what we will do (Evil laugh) :D

I am very tempted, but it does seem a bit odd, that too good to be true notion comes to mind, you know what they say when something seems to good to be true... Other thing is, you'l never know if you don't take a shot... hmmm...

Requirements
Rock Star Developer in JavaScript/ Node.js/ Java/ C/C++/ C#/ Python
Internet Access
PC/ Laptop for coding
So, pretty much in the green for this one? Should I send my Stack Overflow / LinkedIN profiles as CV? Pretty sure I'll ace the interview and land the job (I've a huge JavaScript evangelist and I've been using it for >10 years now) and the salary is considerably more than I currently earn. BUT, giving up my own business (with 11 staff members) to work for someone else (with questionable internet ethics) doesn't quite weigh on the "do it" side of my career path scales...

That salary though...

Welcome to capitalism. When you applying?

Hi, you can forward your Stack Overflow profile, I find them to be pretty great to read, please email me to [email protected]
Maybe go through the process or chat to HR at Hola to see how this opportunity can benefit you. It is a great opportunity.

Not...sure...I...want...

Bah, screw it. Where's the line? Do I take a number?

JavaScript is the new shiz. Just Google "programming trends 2016" and you'll see JavaScript in it's various forms splattered across all those articles.

No line, email me your cv and I submit it straight away, they are awesome with feedback and scheduling the assessment. You are also able to do the assessment after hours if you wish.

I expect any MyBB member who joins the team to share inside scoops on the evil bits of the Hola platform
What is it stealing from us or sharing with the world

:D

But the java plug in is out of chrome and edge and being phased out of most outer browsers?
