@SAdata:I guess you use E367 modem (judging from QoS field). If it is Huawei model, you can force your modem frequency and test if it still connect. Don't do it with ZTE modem! You need the latest MDMA beta, go to the band config, change to custom, deselect all except UMTS 2100MHz and see if it can register to the network. The same with UMTS 900MHz. If you can register on particular frequency with one SIM, but not with another one, we have explanation for a case.

I don't think it was problem of extra hops in OP case. Your network response is very stable and fast. Only comparison with prepaid non-roaming SIM would give some clue.
The same xx?I got the mdma program. My stick seems to switch between cell xx104 and xx101. On 104 I get speeds in the 1mbps's. When its conncetd to xx101 I get 4mbps!? I tried that force band config and I could only register on umts 2100. Umts 900 got a better signal - it picked up the signal but it couldn't register on it.

As you are unable to register, I think the stronger 900MHz signal comes from some other network provider (likely Cell C). It could be 8ta, in testing stage (blocking normal users).
From your perspective it is important to change orientation of the modem to prevent it jumping out from the cell. Signal strenght (RSSI) is less important here. I always tune my modem position to the best SNR. If your modem don't support SNR, look at RSSI.
BTW, I can't really say about Linctagon problem. We didn't receive feedback regarding band selection testing. Yes, it was not linked to routing.
As difference is only on the last digit, you connect to the same tower using the same frequency band (as tested), not much important in this case.Yea both xx are 21. So 21101 and 21104. How do you tune your modem to the SNR or RSSI? By angling it? PS I just have the cheap hauwei e173 modem
