I just can't listen to endless playlists on spotify or deezer anymore. I miss the days of switching on the radio and getting a mixture of good music (that someone else is choosing), talk, news and what not in between. I know I can get all that on my desktop (I am using the excellent https://radio.garden app for that) but I don't like 1) I am constantly on the VPN and then it wants to stream via my corporate network 2) I am constantly on teams meetings, or someone phones me, then I need to find the app and pause it.
I like the convenience of a radio with a volume dial that I can quickly adjust, with a loudspeaker with reasonable quality, that is loose standing without taking up too much space. Must have DAB+ and internet radio(without having to have a subscription). Examples below.
Have you ever tried to find something like that in an online or bricks and mortar store in south africa?
