I recently changed from Afrihost's capped adsl to the 20mbps uncapped.
It was fine for a day but soon after the internet tanks every day, going from 2MB/s download to about 80kbps at exactly 9pm every day.
I have contacted support numerous times and they just won't help, from coming up with stuff like it's because of my router (which it isn't), to telling me that I will be throttled during peak usage times.
How is it that whenever I get on to game a bit (between 8 and midnight) they decide to throttle me? And why not reduce it to half instead of making my adsl useless for all its meant to be? And why at 9pm daily without fail?
My upload remains untouched and my ping is solid 28, but with download being so slow my packet loss reaches 90%.
Do I just cancel my afrihost and go elsewhere or is there some other way to fix this? Support, through numerous emails to different folks has been useless so far.
