Use firefox and encounter ads opening in new tabs. Reinstalled firefox to get rid of it and/or heal it with AVG but occurs regularly. Kids play online games on desktop despite having tabs. Thankfully dont use IE

install addblock addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/?src=search

that will block most, if not all your annoying ads... works extremely well with watching youtube videos (blocks those annoying ads that occur before video starts).

Also ensure that your Pop-Up Windows is blocked
as in the screenshot

Thanks pop ups were blocked and had ad blocker add-on(not sure of name as I installed new firefox last night). What occured was that a new tab appears. Will add adblock.
