Our leased line has been off since about 9h30 this morning... I've been holding on to MWEB tech support for more than hour, literally
Eventually gave up, and dialed again, chose to go to non technical queries.... according to them there is major outages, with helluva lot of calls, thats why me waiting so long for answer from technical.

jeez, world cup hasnt even started yet, I hope this is not all the foreigners laming the Telkom network already :(

Comon Telkom, get the lines back up.... us SAffers should get priority :D

Hi CeeBee,

We were suppose to have a new telephone installed and hooked up to the Exchange tomorrow but received a phonecall some 20min ago saying that 'Telkom technicians are striking. We will contact you again next week to find out when we will be able to help". F***in TYPICAL! A day before the World Cup starts, some faction has managed to get all the Telkom technicians to lay down their tools for more money?! Bloody opportunists exploiting the situation instead of just doing their job. I mean its not like we didn't already have enough headline news with the number of armed robberies on tourists. Anyway, sorry for the rant...but long story short, if it is a Telkom issue, best be patient coz they don't feel like working today

one of our branches in North has been without telcoms for more than week coz the Telkom guys on strike.
well..... if u want to hold a company like telkom, and government to ransom for better life.... now is a great time to do so, as they will be more 'willing' to listen to resolve the issues :-)
still, we all knew this could easily happen, so Telkom should have made a plan B (or C, D....) but then, Telkom and service doesnt have good history together :-(

Nowadays, more often than not, I am unable to access a bunch of international sites. It's been an ongoing problem since the time that underwater cable got damaged. :(
