Services will be restored to normal progressively after the fibre rehabilitation is completed. The company apologises to all affected customers for the disruption caused by the breakage and endeavours to restore services as expeditiously as possible.

Why was there a 3G internet outage from 10pm lastnight? Was this for repairs? Standard GPRS worked fine.. mmm

I am amazed no1 has said anything bout IS bandwidth taking a drop yesterday?
Is it a big secret? ? ? My ISP knows about it they just refunded me cos I crapped on them.

I still ping over 150 on IS to local servers... :sick:
But on my SAIX account ping 29 to local...

My IS account was fine thow b4 yesterday...

Anyone else noticed their latency on IS network rise?
 
Um.. I was in EAST LONDON.. and all our data stopped. This wasnt localized to Sandton or Jozi.

THERE ARE TWO ISSUES HERE NOT JUST THE ONE ON THIS WEBSITES FRONTPAGE!

IS is also havign probs so basically there are two major issues ATM in SA and it leaves allot of DSL users with shoddy latency or no connectivity depnding on area and Backbone

latency is terrible on the networks; i used to my wa unshaped lagged to death switched to my semi-shaped IS account lagged to ****; switched to the verizon realm lagged to ****.

um i ping to myadsl at an average of 35, and im busy downloading and uploading :cool:
 
Are the problems still persisting? My ADSL absolutely sux today. Had to disconnect from ADSL and use Vodacom HSDPA to carry on working.
In Edenvale, Gauteng.

I had to disconnect my local SAIX account and run my local on IS so I could at least have internet... and it was still slow. Had local pings of around 40-100ms, slower at times, other times it simply timed-out. It's better but not fixed yet.

Strange you say that cos my SAIX local in capetown is fine. But my Is one is broooooken.

As I said before ADSL users all over SA are being affected in diffrent ways ATM depending upon ur area and backbone.

True. I was still receiving MyBB notifications but couldn't access it myself.. some being in a different part of Pretoria, others being in other places altogether.
