Internet petition calls for open telecoms

Another take on the National Broadband Forum...will not publish another one without new information ;)
 
Has one of these petitions ever caused anybody to listen and sort something out? If someone knows of one, please please please post it here.

Mweb "listened" for about 2 weeks when it came to them cancelling uncapped local, then they did an about turn and listened to us just like Neotel does. :)
 
Broadband strategy - what should be included?

Please include a strategy for schooling the target villagers and potential users in essential computer skills as well as the ability to read, speak and comprehend English prior to the arrival of broadband in that place - otherwise the tax payer may just end up footing the bill for a facility not understood, let alone being used.

Clearly, literacy and numeracy must come first. And then computer skills. The government must just free up the market ie open it and stop messing around with "strategy" which has already cost this country five years in lost opportunity costs.
