Johannesburg - Police on Monday appealed to women who had been victims of a rapist from Dalpark, Brakpan, to come forward and help with their investigation.
Police spokesperson constable Sefako Xaba said on Monday the 29-year-old man from the East Rand allegedly targeted young women from upmarket parts of the Sandton area and lured them over the internet with the possibility of modelling work.
As soon as the women responded to his ad on the websites deviantart.com and epnetwork.co.za he would set up an interview.
After the interview he'd take the women to a lodge or hotel room so they could "show him if they qualified to be a model". He allegedly used a false name, would force himself on them and rob them of possessions like cellphones and money.
