Hey guys,
After some experimenting I have found out the following:
Disable DMZ if you enabled it on your neotel modem. This seems to be the cause of my modem freezing. I had my neotel modem connected to a belkin wireless n router so i wanted it to allow all connections to the belkin - i then set up my belkin to do all the firewalling.
Essentially a DMZ puts your modem within the firewall - disabling it puts it outside of the firewall.
Ive noticed much lower latency and less frequent disconnect issues. I ended up manually setting up port forwarding to my belkin instead of having the dmz disabled. Anyways, hope this helps some of you.
