I have my 8ta dongle on the pc shared on my home network. I can connect via wifi using the laptop andcan surf, etc. when i try to connect via wifi using the cell phone, it connects, but does not send data. any ideas. i wnat to use wifi at home for the cell - for android market, whatsapp, etc. Instead of using the 75mb bundle that is on the cell contract.

It might be your Wi-Fi security settings on your router.
Try to use a lower security type and see if that helps.

using WEP at work and home. laptop fine on both. Work setup in wifi 4port router connected to our Skyevine Unit (Internet via satellite.) At home i hae a Mega wvr200 adsl router wit wifi connected to my lan. Will try some other security settings.

i can connect to the wifi router using the browser on the phone, just cannot get past there to the internet.

install connectify and see if you can connect with that program.
