Telkom router

I just got my telkom fibre connected after canceling my vodacom fibre.

Telkom router in lounge.

Now i get told i cant connect my very old wifi router i have in vedroom via lan cable to extend my wifi because if the contract I'm on. It's easy connect contract.

Please tell me the help center lady has lost it. Never have i ever hear of such crap :-0

Well, have you tried it? I’ve never heard of LAN cables or routers caring about what they’re connected to.

Did you take it easy also, or did you try it to see if it works connected>?

If you have an ethernet port you can do whatever you like.

I tried it first before calling the helpline.

I managed to get it working after plugged into lan port 4.

Turns out though that only number 4 lan connector working. All the rest no lights indicating connection.

So for now, it turns out telkom help line got the good chronic, and only one port works.

Again the question raises. Busted router or contract limitations
