Internet use could kill off local newspapers

Newspapers have become obsolete because they have failed to keep up with technology or to provide content that is unique and relevant. Either embrace the web, or provide content that cannot be accessed elsewhere. Adapt or die.

I am pretty sure the same does not apply here ;)

Only two countries in the world are showing a growth in newspaper circulations atm: SA and China.

Avg readership age of newspapers in the US is 50 years old.

We still have a little way to go before the newspaper is extinct.

no need to adapt here. less than 10% of the SA population have internet access.
That number isnt getting any lower is it?

IMO the standard of newspapers, at least in PE, is shocking.

You will recall that it was a Daily Dispatch story that led to the deputy health minister visiting frere hospital that led that the sacking off the deputy health minister etc etc.

Oh, my apologies... I thought Bwana meant "physically" - as in badly put together... Sorry, having a daft moment :p
