what is your point? most arab states and iran have never exactly been bed buddies, its no surprise that the likes of Saudi arabia was working behind the scenes to undermine Iran.... one doesnt need a "leak" to gather this.

If the USA really wanted Assange silenced, he'd already be dead; a rape conviction isn't going to achieve anything, unless he is in fact guilty, this is all above board, and everyone claiming otherwise is a tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist.

If they wanted to "get" Assange they would have long ago. This is just too convenient. Everybody knows the lemmings would immediately blame the U.S if charges were brought against Assange. It just fuels the whole saga exactly what the U.S doesn't want.

They have a very good discussion on this on Slashdot and they make some very good points. The Swedish authorities had more than enough time to interview and convict him when he was there. Assange even had permission from the prossecutor to leave the country.

A rape conviction would put him in jail and dent his credibility in lots of peoples eyes. So you could be wrong.

Lemming how many people accused of rape are hunted by interpol? If he was not related to wikileaks would he be their no 1 target?

Maybe i missed the interpol no 1 list over the years but i doubt it is random rape accused people hitting the top.

It’s totally ridiculous and by persisting with the attempted smears, other institutions are being brought into disrepute. Interpol walks in lockstep with the US. Swedish courts do what the US wants. Etc.

So what is being claimed is that before this major release and subsequent hunt (futile) he could not control his libido and went around raping and molesting. Yeah, right (do they release how lame this sounds?).

They are also talking about removing his citizenship. I don’t think they can do this (I stand to be corrected). Even if you are shot for treason, you are executed as a citizen of the country. And the bland Australian arsehole is employing these scare tactics against Assange. “If you don’t do what we say, we will strip you of your citizenship.” Twat.

Assange is a hypocrite. Claims to believe in transparency and justice but refuses to reveal wikileaks details and is now running from the law.
