Interstellar at IMAX Cape Town

hey guys, not sure if it's okay to post this here or not... but i'm starting a petition to get Interstellar to play at Cape Gate's IMAX in CT. We just missed the film on the big screen and would really like to get it back here...

For anyone whose not sure about the IMAX experience, a buddy and I made it to the launch.

The TLDR is that the visuals aren't as great as you'd expect them to be, but the sound is definitely superior to anything I've heard in other cinemas. The pricing is also not too bad. However, it being at Cape Gate, I'm not sure I'd drive up all the way there except for really special movies since I live in the southern suburbs.

Not the IMAX of old guys..... just keep that in mind...

The screen is MUCH smaller, and the resolution is nowhere near as good.

IMAX as we know is is a dead format

Digital IMAX is just a bigger cinema screen. It ain't super sized 70mm.

Yes this isn't proper Imax. But it's still better than normal cinemas and worth it for certain films. I'd say Interstellar is worth it.
