Introducing The Hub's Stolen Bike Database

It's an unfortunate reality that just about every day we see yet another stolen bike reported in our forums. In an effort to better track thefts, identify stolen bikes and the contact owners of recovered bikes we've put together a Stolen Bike database.

Great initiative, recently saw a bike recovered after it was posted on a social site.

The theft of bikes has gotten really out of hand.
There are a whole lot of bikes not on the db yet.
Wignut I can think of at least 3 in the last month or two from KZN including bike jackings.
Seems the thieves have figured out what these bikes are actually worth.

Is there no way of getting a "tracker" fitted to a R100 000 bike?

Brilliant idea! Though I can't remember the last time I myself rode a bike, I will let my cyclist friends know. Most of them own bikes in the R50k mark.
