inverter & battery basics

Its hard to recommend something if we dont know what devices and how many. You mentioned freezer which means you need a true sine wave inverter and a bit bigger as the startup current will be higher but we have no idea of the others.
all we want to power is the freezer charge phones router and laptops

I don't know. I just always known Clearline to be the superior one. Ellies have failed before. Clearline seem to outlast. Maybe someone lied. Maybe just luck (or badluck).
You get what you pay for. Also heard the same, clearline > ellies. Unfortunately the price reflects that too.

One of these with the lithium upgrade will give you some good use. Not sure if its in budget but the stage 4-6 is killer on batteries. Adding 2 solar panels at some stage will save you a good amount of cycles.

Like others have said. No point in powering freezer just during loadshedding. Sure, spend 3 times the money if you want to, or just use the refrigerator surge plug which protects it from damage, and just get a 12V setup I suggested earlier for a TV/laptop/computer.

A better plan is to get a killawatt first and measure your devices to see what the peak watts is and how many Wh is used.

He also added laptops to the list. So freezer, laptops, cellphones. Multiples of those can chew quite a bit of power.
Either way he has some options, personally I would just bite the bullet and get a bigger one now as loadshedding isn't going anywhere.

The 600W PSW and Hubble S-120 I posted earlier should take care of all that, except the freezer.
