Inverter Beeping all the time

Hi all

My inverter beeps constantly during loadshedding and I am wondering if anyone here can tell me why and what I can do to stop it. The beeps come at different times and at different speeds. Sometimes long constant beeps and some times short beeps. Sometimes beeps outside of loadshedding as well.

Attached are pics of the model number and front panel. I have seen other posts on this forum with the same front panel so hoping some of you can teach me a thing or two about this inverter. The picture of the panel is when it is not beeping. When it is beeping the word "FAULT" appears the right of OUTPUT below VAC. It is currently beeping as I am typing and we are not in loadshedding.

Another problem I am having is that the inverter will beep a few times and then cut the power (not during loadshedding) when we use a hairdryer in the bedrooms. I presume it is the safety feature that the inverter has which cuts the power when there is an overload. The strange thing is that when we use the hairdryer on the plugs in the kitchen we don't have this overload and all works fine. Very confusing because all the plugs in the house are on the inverter. Any idea why one circuit in the house could be overloaded by it and not the other circuit?

You have connected it to your DB board? I don't understand why it is reacting to a hairdryer in the bedroom?
 
Where did you buy this inverter from ?

the M series is not meant for any other use but IT products (perhaps lighting you could add in here as well).

An electrician who does work for me installed it. What makes you say it is for IT use only?

Ive Purchased around 40 inverters ( skn-s series) for family and friends.

but coming back to your problem , I think you putting in too much power , like your hair dryer alone could be in the 1kw + range. Did you actually see the wattage on it ?
 
So 1600W maximum output (from 'battery switch') and you're wondering why a 2kW hair-drier is causing problems?

That inverter should not be connected to a DB, unless it's the DB for one 8A circuit!

Also PC inverters / UPS's do beep all the time as they aren't meant to stay online for hours, it's just there to give you time to shutdown the PC, thus the beeping.

But anyway, long story short. If the beeping is just because it's telling you "grid off" get some muffers or put pritack in the beeper :D. If it's beeping because you're overloading it (probably are if it's on your DB - your fridge, oven, geyser will be trying to pull power from it - I'd not be surprised if it blows up pretty soon!)

I haven’t seen the wattage. What should I be looking for?
 
Looks like the inverter is running at (or near) 100% load and exceeding it at times.

How is it connected to you distribution board? Given the inverters 1600w output limit, your electrician should have been very selective with what is connected to it.
 
Perhaps OP simply forgot to buy prepaid electricity ... for the prepaid beeping meter.

@silvioberetta86 sounds exactly like the name of someone with a stylish handgun in one holster and a powerful hairdryer in the other holster.
 
I had a similar electrician,he was pawning and offering many inverter installs and sending photos

The same guy that cut off conduit and insulation from a geyser circuit in the ceiling to split off and put in a new plug box,and put the join in a nice big insulation-tape ball

He doesn't work for me anymore
 
Continuous Use on that puppy is around 1200 Watts
maybe the beeping is there to warn you that you are exceeding that.
