I have no idea, as I said it was a pleasant surprise to see that they are still around, many businesses come and go, unless I have keen interest in their business or they have an impact on my life in some way I never keep track.

You seem to know more than me with all the innuendos, maybe you can tell me?

Hi I would not open it that will invalidate the warrenty take it back ,only then if it a warranty will the machine be repaired

Im looking for 2 part numbers for my blown Mecer 1200. The rectifier and an IC got toasted. Would be very greatful for anyone confirming part numbers.

I could be wrong, but looking at the picture. The inverter outlet (fan) is at the bottom. Now that won't help much as the heat will be trapped at the bottom of the trolley.

Just a thought

You should be able to read the part numbers off the chip.
Make sure you check the resistors in the circuit as well otherwise you stand a chance of blowing the the IC or rectifier.

I see this all the time with plastic film left on electronics and other stuff after purchase. I don't understand the thinking behind it.

Saw a few TVs in homes still with a sticker on the bezel indicating all the features of the TV.

The plastic film starts looking tacky after a few months.

I remove all labels and plastic film found on touch pads and displays unless it's a specific screen protector meant to be left on the device.

It's never meant to remain in place.

I find it so interesting the way they chose to mount the inverter to the trolley

With the exhaust fan at the bottom

Also had the mecer inverter worked great until i tried the fast charge 20A with the arrival of stage 6

Mine was uneconomical to repair , luckily i had already picked up a bargain replacement on gumtree

And the intel inside and gpu stickers on laptops

Then ot can colour fade uniformly , nothing like removing the stickers when tacky to find unfaded paint underneath

The intake of the inverter looks open the grid closest to us on top

And the exhaust vent is at the bottom its just a mecer type inverter built into a trolley

Exactly what I thought. Very bad design. There is absolutely no space for the heat to escape.

The chip is burnt and popped unfortunately so there is nothing left to read :/

The intake vents are open visible on the photo, pretty sure they would not have stuck plastic on the bottom so assume the exhuast fan would be open too
