The chip is burnt and popped unfortunately so there is nothing left to read :/

Most of the time it has multiple chips side by side to be able to meet the output, attached to the same heatsink if that is what popped , that was what popped on mine

On the charge circuit
Some were intact

I see this all the time with plastic film left on electronics and other stuff after purchase. I don't understand the thinking behind it.

Saw a few TVs in homes still with a sticker on the bezel indicating all the features of the TV.

The plastic film starts looking tacky after a few months.

I remove all labels and plastic film found on touch pads and displays unless it's a specific screen protector meant to be left on the device.

It's never meant to remain in place.

People who leave the plastic film on are mentally ill.

Those particular stickers are a bastid to remove though.

Once peeled off benzine removes the glue without affecting the colour of the plastics easy peasy

Have not tried that combi yet

As long as nobody thinks substitution is fine with thinners

That will definitely affect colours

We need closure on this debacle - what was the cause of the failure and could it be fixed?
