Investec

I saw this, I'd be curious what happens now if you do international purchase using the pocket, e.g. USD - do you still get charged the credit card fee for international purchase?

If so - then what is the benefit besides betting against the rand?
If you mean the separate & additional “Cross-Border” fee - then no, at least not on my Amazon Prime subscription that was deducted from my EUR pocket today.

I just see the €4.99 deduction from that pocket.

Also, in the links I sent previously, there’s a ton of information and various scenarios outlining what does and doesn’t happen.

Investec did a great job with the documentation!

Thanks - I checked the FAQ for this - I'll give it a go and see what happens.

I do quite a bit of international purchases, Amazon, Temu, Youtube Music, etc.

Looks like a redesigned login is coming soon from Investec.

I wonder if any new functionality is being added - there are definitely a few things I’d love to see.

On the Private Banking app:

• PayShap support up to the R50,000 limit would be great (instead of being stuck at R3,000). I don’t need the full limit, but I often need to send more than R3,000.
• A shared account access setup that actually works. I still haven’t been able to share or cancel access myself - I always need to involve a banker.
• External account access directly in the app, instead of having to log in via the web to view these accounts.
• Virtual cards that match the new portrait physical card designs… even if just displayed in landscape.

As for the Youth Banking app:

• There really should be something in between the “Youth” app and the “Full Private Banking” app - “Young Adult” or something - with additional features so that as kids get older, they gradually become familiar with more of what the full app offers.
• No support for viewing or creating virtual cards. This gets me every time, it’s wild that you have to log in to the web just to create or access a virtual cards details.
