My HDD just stopped spinning, I was watching a movie from it, and my pc froze. Rebooted, and my pc froze again where it loads all the drives in the BOIS, until I unplugged my External Iomega HDD.
I opened it this morning and plugged the HDD directly into my pc via SATA, but I can hear it is not Spinning Up.
Can someone help me please?

If it is not spinning and making no noise at all, then it is not good news, I'm afraid. Was there a lot of data on there which you cannot replace?

If the External enclosure did not have a fan it's safe to say that the HDD spindle seized.
Happens allot.

Can you try taking it outta the enclosure?

You might void the warranty and such, but sometimes, the warranty itself buggers out then you can extract the HDD and put it in your machine.

That's happened to me like... 3 times.
Enclosure fails, drive is fine.

The dude said he did that and it still didn't spin at all...
