Khanya - what version are you trying to restore to?

It must be iOS5.0.1 as Apple has stopped signing iOS 5.0.

Ok good.

So just to recap you must shift restore to the firmware file.

Make sure you are using the right firmware file and that it didn't get corrupted during transmission - check the file size.

Make sure you haven't used something like TinyUmbrella or edited your hosts file manually as that will produce 3149 errors. If you have just edit the hosts file and remove the 'gs.apple.com' line.

Error 3002 means you have to shift restore instead of update.
