Disconnect phone, restart itunes and try again

On a mac maybe, it sure as hell does not on Windows, and I am talking from recent experience where my 720 MB Download died 3 times in a row.

I don't think you're missing much. I would upgrade for better HW, but not for the sake of iOS 6.

So...got iOS 6 on this here iPad2. The maps app is pretty fast. Will have to play a bit more.

since updating, if I use appstore on phone, after the password prompt it says "Account not valid for use in the South African appstore. You must switch to the US store before purchasing"

why has my phone's appstore switched back to ZA? and how do I change it back?

Try Settings... Settings/Store and then check your Apple ID... Which account are you logged into?

New maps app is absolutely awful, rendering is bad and magnification is much worse, zoom in and it's a fuzzy mess. Granted, it's still virtually still beta, but it shouldn't have been released in its current form, how Tomtom can put its name on it (or even Apple) is a travesty.

At least Google Maps is supposed to be coming as a standalone app, if the Apple map doesn't improve (and its pretty useless without streetview as well).

I find it easier to use than the previous Google Maps app..the pins do what I want them to do.

But, the moment you turn on satellite/hybrid view it becomes a piece of ****.
