iOS 7 Battery Life

Mine is actually slightly better.

Maybe check if you can disable some background apps in Settings -> General -> Background app refresh.

I second what the doc said! That feature was allowing apps to use gps in the background. Killed the battery!

I also get better battery life on my iPad 2 with iOS7.

My screen brightness is around 40% because that is more than enough for my needs.
Turn off background app refresh as mentioned above
Also turn on "Reduce Motion" under Settings - General - Accessibility, to disable the 3D/parallax effect (help to save battery life as well - cool to look at but really pointless)

Over 7hrs usage and battery is only 50%...usage is divided between playing Angry Birds, watching series with VLC player and browsing the web.

It's that reduce motion!

The screen background moves slightly as an effect but kills battery life.

Turned off the background app refresh and switched on reduce motion. Got about 13 hours out of my iPad 2 the first time (mostly reading though).

Mine was decent on iOS 7.0, 70.2 is killing my battery!

I'm downloading 7.0.2 as I type this - hope it doesn't do too much damage to my iPad2's battery life. iPhone4S and iPad 2 been fine on iOS 7.0 - barring the first few days, when I couldn't put the damn thing down! :)

My iPad 4 seems fine battery life wise on iOS7 for the most part :) it seems more frugal over WiFi than in iOS6 but a tad bit more power hungry on HSDPA than in iOS6, but it still lasts me 2-3days so I'm happy, I'm mostly on WiFi anyway, so it's all good.

Just want to chime in here again. After using iOS 7 (and 7.0.2) for a few weeks now I can give a better assessment of the battery life.

What I can say is that my battery life is phenomenal now (iPad 3rd gen). It may have to do with the clean install but standby time is ridiculous now. Mine has been going since Monday off the plug, and it's sitting on 70% percent with some light usage. Now they just need to fix some of the lag.

Battery life on my iPhone4S is inconsistent. Some days it makes a full day with enough juice to last until noon the next day. Other days (like today) I hardly use the phone and it's flat by 3pm

Switching off most of my lock screen notifications so that the screen doesn't light up all the time did wonders for my battery life.
