EDIT: Also sorted - found a tutorial using Cydia Impactor, running Kodi Krypton now...
Very late to the party, but I'm only now getting involved in online streaming - the SO is getting tired of DSTV so I'm looking for alternatives.
I'm using an Iphone 6, JB on iOS 9.3.3. If this testing all goes okay then I will probably get Apple TV.
So far I've installed BBC iPlayer and Netflix and connect the phone to TV with an HDMI adapter. Works beautifully, except it seems I have no way to switch the phone's screen off when in use.
My main issue is with Kodi - I've tried to sideload the latest .deb off the Kodi site, using iFunbox, but nothing installs. So I added the recommended repo in Cydia and tried to install but get the following error:
The error report alludes to a memory shortage, but I've got about 5GB free on the phone. What am I missing? Is there perhaps a dependency that I'm not aware of?
