iOS getting Bluetooth file sharing feature

Too late, already kicked Apple to the curve in favour of Android so no more struggling with getting media on the device as on the iPhone.

Also, Samsung has bluetooth, so who's copying who now?

Apple pay licensing fees for the Bluetooth chipset

iPhone

So I was getting out of my car, forgetting that my BRAND new iPhone was sitting on my lap, it fell, landed face down on the floor and now the top left corner has cracked horribly. It is not even a week old! Anyone know if it would by any chance be covered still to get replaced? I am so devistated, haha! What can I do???

Gee jouself `n ordentlike skop op die regte plek.

Warranty doesn't cover falls. Only your insurance covers that. If you have insurance that is.

Because most people don't give a hoot?

Adding a feature no one has cared about in years...

Thanks for speaking on behalf of everyone ;)

Bluetooth file transfer is not a feature I would imagine most people use every day. I certainly don't. It nonetheless astonishes me that Apple only now decided to implement this, as it is such a basic function.

I honestly don't get why you guys are defending Apple here.

You can share files via Bluetooth on an Ipad with a Cydia app "iFile" Been doing it for a while. But wifi is so much quicker, Bluetooth runs about 700kb/sec

Now you know....texting while driving, not just a bad idea while driving, but risky when exiting after the drive!!!

Another ground breaking innovation by Apple. Now, Samsung please don't copy that as well

I haven't used Bluetooth file transfer in years. (Not an iphone user)

Me neither, my last 3 phones have had it and I think I've used it once... IMO they can go ahead and drop bluetooth all together.

And another thing ~ while we're on this topic ~ how do you share photos via wifi between a Samsung phone and an iPad?

Or is an intermediary laptop with iTunes needed?

I would hazard a guess that it leaped from your lap. It doesn't want to be with you. Now get an Android :D
