Hi guys, simple question.

Which iOS music players are you using?
I've been using poweramp on android, but there doesn't seem to anything as awesome as that app (on iOS).

Don't mind paying for it if its reasonable.
It just needs to play music easily with playlists / albums, no social media crap or ads.

Thanks!

What's wrong with the Music app on iPad? It does everyting you mentioned... and it looks beautiful.

I'm loling at you if you think I didn't notice the music player embedded in the iPad.

The question is for alternatives.

And yes, the built in music player sucks badly.

Well, you didn't mention you wanted an alternative to the Music app. And like Mossel said, that app does everything you asked for already? What don't you like about the native app, just out of interest? I've never had any issues with it :/

I don't want something that looks beautiful, I want something that doesn't try to force you into the radio tab, and seeking on a track shouldn't be a surgical procedure, same for the volume, and it deletes my music for no apparent reason ,then I have to re-download them from the cloud, to later at some random time to see them disipear again. It also cycles through my albums as if it was on shuffle, but it isn't..

Its also pretty clitchy, when I seek a track on the lock screen, the slider would appear on a different position when I open the app (after unlocking)...

Have you seen Poweramp? Its miles ahead of their app.

Also the links that show "Show entire album" are pretty irritating as well.

Yeah I gathered it would be obvious if you're looking for an app, it would be different from the built in one.

I guess the built in music player doesn't suck "entirely", but it has small issues that can really dent my mood for some reason.

EDIT: I'm using an iPad mini, hence the tapping problems on seek and volume. I'm wondering if I cant change the DPI of the interface, there is a lot of space on either side.

Ah! I must admit that is one thing that also irritates me... But generally I'm happy with the Music app. Will also check out Groove though!

Hmm. This has given me an idea to create a music player...

Slight thread hijack, but can anyone recommend something similar for OSX? Just tired of iTunes.

Groove looks fantastic, a shame that it is iOS 7+ only.

Did you download the music via iTunes? If you didn't sync it with iTunes on your PC it will remove it from your iPad. In other words you need to select your newly downloaded music on your PC so it knows to sync it with your iPad. That's unfortunately the way it works.

I have to admit, since the iOS7 update seeking has become difficult. I have no answer on the shuffle thing, as mine works perfectly.

The iPad app might still have some niggles, I'm using the one on my iPhone and I can honestly say that I do not experience any problems. Also how does it force you into the radio tab?
