Thought I'd starts thread for those interested..

iPad 2 4.3 wifi only jailbreak has leaked. Hoping that comex will release a jailbreak for all other versions shortly.. Probably tomorrow or independence day!

Yeah Sunday is Funday. Should be tomorrow :) Anyway gonna test this on my iPad2 now :)

Does jailbreaking slow down the iPad in anyway, or any other cons people experience?

There is an app for the iPhone called fakeclockup. It reduces the animations built into the iOS with the net result that everything happens a lot quicker than usual creating the impression of speed and/or over clocking. I would imagine a similar app is available for the iPad.

It's possibly the greatest tweak ever developed for iOS.

Anyone who is interested in getting fakeclockup add the following repository:

Good news indeed. Let's hope it actually materializes. There possibly close to a million users waiting for this jail break.

I've said it before and I'll say it again Apple need to focus their resources elsewhere and not on trying to patch the jail breaks that come out for their devices. They would be doing themselves a huge injustice if they ever successfully blocked the jail break loophole.

I, for one, would possibly not prchase an un-jailbreakable iPhone/iPad.

I think for Apple; yes blocking the JB is one thing but also I rekon they want to stop the piracy of apps as that seems to go hand in hand with JB - which is quite sad, but people always want to get things free. I'd be happy if they managed to 100% block app piracy but still then "allowed" JB so that we could have all the cool mods that that brings us. I'd still use my iPhone even if there were no JB but it wouldn't be quite the same.

It could be so easy. All that Apple would have to do is take away the incentive to jailbreak. How? Allow users to put their device into some form of 'homebrew' mode in which they can have access to Cydia. By all means, waive responsibility and all that. But this is the simplest solution I can think of. Those who don't need it won't use it, and those who want the tweaks and homebrew apps, can use them without getting into crap every time there is an OS upgrade.

Finally it's out! 4.3.3 only.. Jailbreakme.com
