iPad and Kindle Combo - Patent Pending

Since the iPad is getting thinner, why does Steve Jobs not just glue a kindle like screen on the underside and solder some wires to connect it to the rest of the device.

That way you have the best of both worlds iPad and the nice e-reader don't strain my eyes experience.

You saw this idea here first on 15 July 2011. I want my cut if the Apple releases something like this.
 
2 things:

1:That screen is an e-ink display (a separate company), the Kindle just uses it, as does the Nook and other readers. Apple doesn't do the paying others for such major components thing.

2 Apple doesn't do the giving the true inventors credit for their work thing either, so even if they did build such a device, expect massive lawsuits and legions of cultists going after you. :D

Forget the legal stuff. A device with a a screen on either side, one as an e-reader and one as a iPad screen will be great.

NO! have you ever tried to read an ipad for a long time. It is almost worse that trying to read Tolstoy on a CRT monitor. (almost, but not quite) The kindle is fantastic. However I do hind the Kindle app on my iphone is nice for short time periods when I have no light to read my kindle by... I use the white text on black background though and it is much easier on the eyes.

Apple steals other's ideas all the time without acknowledgement so good luck with that.

Yes they do. Hell, almost every major component in the iPhone is done this way.
