iPad claim misleading, rules ASA

How do they manage so much traffic/data with so little market share?

Something seems wrong

So it is the tablet that uses the most data, by far?

So what would you put the market at for tablets?
90% for the iPad?

Surely based no that data figures it would need to be - but I'm pretty sure it is no where near. There must be some other issue.

Is it amount of data Used?
Then it could be all the old devices already in the market getting new ios etc?

We know they nice were king and those devices are still out there

Not sure. It is a high percentage though based on usage. (And in the USA at least, iPads are what you see, except for the odd Kindle)

It is not about the amount of data used. It is on web traffic

I think its got to do with the app store, most developers create apps first for IOS and then android as more money is made from IOS than android.. therefore seeing higher sales and more traffic.

The Tablet category is wide and not all are bought for the same purpose.

This article explains it quite well:

The obvious problem with this is that these devices are being used in very different ways. It seems clear that most of the huge numbers of sub-$150 Android tablets now being sold do not have anything like the web or app usage that is seen on an iPad, Nexus or Galaxy Tab, and that many are mainly used as substitutes for TV sets, with maybe some gaming on the side.

Android tablet have over 60% of the market according to a Time article I perused. Which is expected given the number of manufacturers peddling tablet at the low end of the market.
