iPad Mini and Vodacom LTE

I have an ipad mini (wifi + cellular) and live in an LTE covered area.
If I get my Vodacom contract data sim enabled for LTE by Vodacom, will I be able to use the LTE functionality on my iPad mini ?

Perhaps Jannie Van Zyl can clarify this for me . . .

Yes, but only if:

1. You got the correct model that supports 1800 LTE (we'll assume you did)
2. Apple releases the carrier file for your device. (Not too long now, I believe)

I do have the model that supports the 1800 LTE band, so I'll just have to wait for the boys in Cupertino to do the necessary.
