Hi Guys,

I need some advice regarding an iPad mount.

I am looking for a mount where I can attach my iPad to my treadmill or eliptical cycle so I can view my series on it whilst doing my cardio.

Watching a full episode per cardio workout, is the only thing which motivates me to stay on it for the full 45 minutes lol.

I am looking for something which pretty much attaches to the bar of the device/equipment and stays mounted

Heres an image of what the eliptical cycle looks like:

I would like to attack it to the curved bar around the digital display.

Are any of you guys aware of such products?

If possible, please respond with a link.

Thanks in advance.

gorillamobile yogi probably would work or you could do it DIY

Will have a look at that site. Lol... im staying far away from DIY.....I tend to cause more damage then fixing :P

I'd suggest that if you're able to do a 45-minute cycle and stay focused on a tv show the entire time, you're not getting a very effective workout from it.

Additionally that doesn't look like a very stable mounting area. Have you considered just putting a table near the elliptical cycle and standing the ipad on that? You could even put a bar speaker with it.

Try this....

Take 2 of those self adhesive bathroom hooks, the white ones, stick them upside down at the bottom corners of the screen. Use them to cradle the iPad.

I have my elliptical trainer in a small-ish room. I really wish there was space for a TV or PC. That would have honestly been my first option.

I am looking for a mount because It would allow me to interact with the screen as well, just in case I decide to listen to music as well.

Yeah, I know that its not good practice to stay focused on a tv show while working out. I am new to starting an exercise routine and need some sort of motivation for now.

Sounds like a plan. I would like something a bit more secure though. If all hope fails to find a good mount, I will probably try that.

Mine is an iPad3, so its pretty chunky compared to the iPad mini's.

Thanks for suggesting this :)

My first choice would rather be to get something like an iPod Touch 5th gen. Then you can just build some kind of prop mount on the dashboard area, and it's less intrusive (or get a Glif). It'll be better also if you expand your workout beyond the confines of the elliptical trainer (you'll probably want to be doing that in any case before too long). I would be extremely nervous about trying to mount an iPad on a frame like that.
