iPad multi touch gestures.

So I downloaded the previous version of xcode last night (all 4gb worth) in order to activate multi-touch gestures on my iPad and I have to say it's pretty slick. Any idea why they didn't enable it by default?

OR just enable via Cydia They probably haven't finalized it yet.

"MT Gestures" available in Cydia. - i haven't tested myself yet as I haven't upgraded to 4.3.

Haven't found a need to jailbreak my ipad.

Each to their own i guess. But i would have much rather downloaded via Cydia, much easier once jailbroken

And what about DisplayOut etc that is just released that supports HDMI! lots of things i could think of

I don't know about much easier, all it involves is running xcode and pressing a single button - not exactly complicated.

I have no need for HDMI out, circumstances might be different if I did but to date there hasn't been a compelling reason to jailbreak it. My iPhone was another matter because it's an older model and I needed some form of wifi hotspot.

once jailbroken being the key which nowdays is usually a one to few buttons anyways.

and installing xcode results in more buttons

so the button ratio is lower with a jailbreak!

anyways, you will come to the dark side one day haha.

The gist of it is (from the source - Newsflap.com):

Now here is what you have to do, plug in your iPad and launch Xcode from this directory “/Developer/Applications/Xcode.app.” You will see a wizard will open automatically and then you have to go through it. Click on ‘Use for Development’ which can be seen at the centre of the screen. I’m providing you a video which would show you this extra-ordinary fast feature which helps you switch between applications in no time, multi touch gesture is all about saving your time. See these gestures in action in this video.

But that is for OsX not Windows.
