Hi all,

I recently bought an iPad 32GB with 3G capabilities. I don't want a contract or anything .. i just want to get the ipad onto the internet via it's 3G capabilities. I was hoping that someone may have a good idea on the best prepaid internet package available for these devices.

I was hoping that Cell C might have a package, but does anyone know if they have the tiny simcard that is required for the ipad/iphone 4 available? Else I'm stuck with MTN or Vodacom prepaid data .. ?

Anyways advice would be much appreciated

Thank you,

The current iPad does not support the 900MHz UMTS that Cell C uses, so you can't use Cell C with an iPad.

The small SIM is the least of the problems.

Thanks Jola ...

Any idea who has the better prepaid data offering between Vodacom and MTN? I find their websites very user unfriendly!

Thanks

I went with Vodacom myself. You can convert your airtime to data on the Vodacom site. Last I checked, you had to phone a number on MTN to convert airtime to data, which is not something you can do from the iPad.
