I see the Moshi iVisor is quite popular.

I'm looking for something that's very clear, doesn't inhibit the touch sensitivity and doesn't leave fingerprints. The fingerprints on the 'naked' iPad annoys me the most, actually.

Oh, and the iPad 2 ones will fit on the iPad 4, right? They're still the same shape and size?

Don't waste your time I am using mine for over 1.5 year and no scratches.Anyway the screen has special manufacturing process and coatings to prevent scratches

Moshi is good and can be washed and re-applied. Also ZERO bubbes. If you have kids its a must. IMO you wont get away from the fingerprint issue except if you get a matte protector.

A screen protector is a waste of time, and just makes the experience unpleasant. My very first iPhone 1 (the one that never made it to SA) I used screen protectors. Since then I have had the 3G, 3GS, 4, iPad 1 iPad 2 and now iPad mini, and none of them have had screen protectors on. After a buff, hold them up to the light, and you can't see a scratch at all.

The Gorilla glass really does work well....now I just wish that the camera manufacturers would use the same glass

I'm not particularly worried about scratches, actually. Managed to keep it scratch-free the whole time. It's more the fingerprints that annoy me. Hoped there was a protector that would at least minimise it somewhat. :(

I love the iVisor on my iPhone but my iPads are all bare glass.

It is "Gorilla" glass and unless you attack it with water paper, it will not permanently mark. A cloth, dampened with 25% meths and 75% water cleans it in seconds

Smart cover. It does a good job of wiping fingerprints when you close the cover (the inside is like a cleaning cloth). Very light...and you don't lose any screen touch feeling.
