Ipad stuck on 9.3.5

how ?

what about netflix and games and stuff
The only thing you can do is use an account that already had Netflix etc installed and then when you go to the app store there is a previously purchased section and then if you download from there it will ask download last compatible version.

Actually what you could try is a jailbreak tweak called AppAdmin.

i see this appamin says App Admin - A tweak for the app store that allows you to downgrade your apps to any previous versions still hosted by apple.

youtube and netflix all require ios 11 and above if not mistaken

When you go to install the app you get a pop up asking install or downgrade and then a list of all available previous versions.

The only thing you can do is go through the list and hope you find a version that works.

I’m going to give this jailbreak thing a try and let you know what I find. Worst case would be that I brick a paperweight.
What a waste of time. Tried jailbreaking which all went well but none of the YouTube apps worked at all.

Hello all,

I got an ipad from a friend and its stuck on 9.3.5

it says ipad up to date

how can i get it to a later version or do something that can work

Only need some apps for the kids such as youtube and some games and netflix
I have an old iPhone 6 for the kids to use with no new updates. YouTube works fine.
Same with my wife's iPad. YouTube works just fine. You don't need the latest version of iOS to get your apps working. Jailbreaking your iPad always has the risk of breaking something. Don't do it.

You can load the old version of YouTube on IOS 9.3.5 but when you open it it tells you it is no longer supported. Only thing you can really do is use the YouTube browser version which is slow and not quite as nice as the app.
