yeah it is, i think its a 2015 model or something
can jailbreaking help ?
Look on the back for the model number and stick it into google. My iPad 2 for example is A1396 and it says it only goes up to 9.3.5. I'd imagine that's what you've got too.

I still use my Mac Air laptop every single day that I bought in 2012I think its unreasonable to expect Apple to support 10 year old devices. They still support the iPad mini 4 - which is 6 years old.

It is up to date and rocks
Just as fast as the day I got it
9 years later it is still perfect
They could of made the ipads last longer, mine is a 2011, but with the mentality of their iphones they decide to outdate them sooner than they should, forcing you into buying a newer device. Corporate bullying tactics I guess
My iPad2 has been outdated for years nowCompletely disagree there. Apple does a much better job at supporting older devices than other manufactures do. If their supported lasted ± 3 years, I would tend to agree. But come on, you want them to support a 10 year old mobile device that had limited battery life and CPU power at the time?
The iPad Air 2 - which was released in 2014 is still supported by the latest updates, today. Hardly corp greed, as you put it.
The iPhone 6s; which was released in 2015 is also still supported by the latest OS today. I think that's very reasonable.
I agree and disagree with your argument, once the device is strong enough they should support it for way longer, but the iPad 2 even when it was still being updated had issues of just loading more than one website, I remember even some of the MyBB threads would lag and sometimes crash when I wanted the keyboard to pop up. I installed a tweak to check memory usage, just iOS on a fresh start used around 300MB of the 500MB of RAM on the device. My iPad2 has been outdated for years now
Yet is only 1 year different to my laptop
Kinda weird dont you think? Considering what one pays for an Apple product, I mean this isnt cheap Xaiomi stuff now

Yes, the keyboard lagged so much that apps would crash, unless you type very very slowly, what a pain that was, and that was quite a long time ago.I agree and disagree with your argument, once the device is strong enough they should support it for way longer, but the iPad 2 even when it was still being updated had issues of just loading more than one website, I remember even some of the MyBB threads would lag and sometimes crash when I wanted the keyboard to pop up. That excuse doesn't really fly for the iPad Air.
Yeah I dont want to get into a debacle of he said she saidSo, you want to compare an iPad device that had inferior CPU and GPU to your more expensive MacBook Air and complain that Apple doesn't support them both for more than 10 years?
You're right, it's not a cheap Android product that only has support for 2yrs at best. Since the original iPad release and the 2, for that matter Apple's support has gotten better. Yes, the iPad 2 was only supported until 2015. But there were major advantages in the OS around that time that it just meant the older hardware literally cannot run it.
However, since then support has been increased from an average of 3 years (iPad 2) to 6 years - iPad Air 2. That is an improvement. You have to agree that this isn't corporate greed. This is Apple trying to maintain the best experience for its users as possible.
Trust me; iOS 13 on an iPad 2 would be utter ****. Hardware is just not capable.

I have always loved Apple devices, Im still working on my Mac Air which is 2012 as I type this
But I havent trusted Apple for quite sometime now

Apple Agrees To Pay $113 Million To Settle 'Batterygate' Case Over iPhone Slowdowns
The issue reportedly affected phones released between 2014 and 2016. As part of the settlement, Apple also agreed to be more transparent about software updates that affect a phone's battery life.www.npr.org
Do you trust Google more or less than Apple?
I somehow don't think the consumer who upgrades every 5-7 years is the problem... society is the problem...Is sickening that us a society even accepts this unscrupulous behavior.
its apple, just buy another one,
or get a second hand Chinese Android tablet, at least that's a lot more useful![]()

10000% agree with you, why I will NEVER support Apple, and pay money for buy one of their IDIOT Phones or Idiot pads. There is actually nothing wrong with my iPad 2's hardware, its only the software that is problematic - Luckily I still have an old version of Netflix installed and it works fine. I also had an old version of Youtube installed, which also works fine, except now it plays one video without a hitch, then a pop-up appears stating that it needs an update and closes the app.
I get it that hardware progresses and all that, but why not allow the older apps to continue working as it used to? Sure its slow, sure it doesn't have the latest bells and whistles, but it still works.
We already have a huge trash issue on this planet and now they want me to throw a perfectly working device away, because it suits their pocket?
The new iPhones; the camera's are hardware locked to the physical device. In otherwords, one cannot simply swap a broken camera from a donor phone. You have to buy a new phone.
Is sickening that us a society even accepts this unscrupulous behavior.

apparently its possible! with a heavy amount of jail-breakingcan no one make an older ipad into android![]()

but that isnt how Apple makes money, like a database somewhere of older apps
