And it is not really the English alfphabet, is it?
Why not? The alphabet, as known today was formulated by combining Latin and the Furthorc ruinic alphabet. The common format used today was set out in England in the 1600's, and was an alphabet for the English Language (Germanic Countries and France had their own distinctive alphabets, even if there were similarities to the English). Many other languages adopted the English Alphabet, but that does not take away from it being English.

Heck, even the American’s who claim everything as their own still refer to it as the English Alphabet. But for argument sake, if it is not English, then what is it?
