iPhone 1.1.2/1.1.3 OTB Software only unlock

@sufferwell: thanks a bunch man...now i can actually get the stuff ive always been drooling over from the US. These guys are trustworthy though right? And can i get it gift wrapped by any chance? :D PM me if you dont wanna go too OT here

@limnos: as sufferwell said, check to see that iTunes is picking up the iphone first... maybe do a reboot and then try again. You did put it in recovery mode though right? (hold down both the Sleep/Wake and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo)

It showed instantly, then I had to wait for 3min to complete

Make sure you are fully charged just in case, also before using ziphone try to see if itunes detects your iPhone properly.

You might have to do a full 1.1.3 restore if you keep getting problems, I'll give you a few tips on doing this correctly.

ok, so with ziphone you can use a 1.1.3 iphone with a 4.6 BB in south africa without using a turbosim or any other hardware modification?

just want to find out how this ziphone works. :)
 
There is a new 1.1 version of the Ziphone out... and I have seen that they have updated the Community services, and BSD subsystem. On MMi they are busy with a Mac version of the unlock so I will hang on a bit till its all sorted.
 
I wonder what happened to limnos... he disappeared without any confirmation if the unlock worked or not.

Hey guys! Sorry i haven't posted I have just been so busy with work. Thanx for concerning...

I upgraded to 1.1.3 and installed. Phone was locked with TurboSIM. Used v.2 of ZiPhone and it worked now without TurboSIM. A friend of mine brought in over 100 phones (1.1.2 with TurboSIM), think it'll be a better idea to unlock all 100 with ZiPhone so the buyer doesn't need to cut his SIM. I mean the process just took under 3 minutes....

This is just fantastic. Can't believe that this oke is just 17 years old that unlocked the software...

Yeah, but they he is selling them at R6900.00. I can give you his number if you are interested.
 
u might as well buy the legally unlocked iphone in europe for around R8000 and whenever you update software the phone doesnt lock again!!
