iPhone 12 Rumours & Release Date

You can order the new iPad Air with the M1 chip at iStore already, but still no iPhone 12.

The IPhone 12 mini looks cool. I've been using my IPhone 5S since 2013 and I've been waiting for a flagship IPhone of the same size. Plus the design is similar so that's cool too. I just hope preorders open soon, been looking out that "launch date for South africa" article everyday.

So they launch the new MacBook Air ... the Instagram post gets a lot of angry comments about how that gets released here after 2 days but no iPhones yet. And then they deleted all the comments and turned the comments on the post off. Lol. What is going on with them?

Apple are being Apple. Im not sure why anyone thinks they are going to listen to anything they have to say.
After a 12 year run on iPhones Im done with them, my next phone will be Android.

Core being Core... flip just wish Apple ran its own distribution here. Would have been able to preorder it on Apple.com and actually pay a $1100 for the phone instead of almost $2000 like we do in SA:mad:

Yup, Im not a fan of Core at all. My recent experience with repairs on my MBP have really put me off.
Aside from them, I really dont like the direction Apple are taking with blocking 3rd part repairs on devices. Im also not a fan of the USB-C cable that ships with the iPhone 12 and no charging brick.
After all of the years using iPhones I dont have a USB-C compatible brick and Im not going to charge my phone on my MBP every time!

There is no Apple in South Africa. We have Core Group...who are merely a middleman that I doubt Apple even cares about. We are but a tick on their "export" CSV. Core on the other hand...are evil B@stards.

A USB-C brick is R200...if you are paying R20 000 for a phone, and R20 000 - R50 000 for a Mac, R200 is literally nothing. Swapping to Samsung due to this is silly. I can assure you, next year, Samsung won't be shipping with bricks either. Because..."Climate change, bad!"

DxOMark tests iPhone 12 Pro, gives it slightly higher score than last year's model

DxOMark published its iPhone 12 Pro camera review and the verdict is in. The new model offers marginal improvements over last year’s iPhone 11 Pro at just the right places which resulted in a 4 point improvement over the 11 Pro.

The test concluded with an overall score of 128 points, which puts the 12 Pro in fourth place overall rankings matching Xiaomi’s Mi 10 Pro and falling a single point behind Huawei’s P40 Pro.

Hardware-wise all three sensors output 12MP shots. There’s a main 26mm equivalent lens with F/1.6 aperture and OIS. It’s aided by a 13mm-equivalent ultrawide lens with F/2.4 aperture and a 52mm telephoto module with F/2.0 aperture and OIS. One new addition this year is the LiDAR sensor which is used for depth sensing.

No, you are missing the point. If its just a R200 device then include the damn thing in the box with the phone.
Apple will not honor a warranty on a phone that goes up in flames while charging if their charger was not used. Every single charger up until this point has had a USB-A connection, so if I want to use an official charger then I have to buy one along with the R20k+ phone I just bought.

I would never swap to Samsung, been there and done that, not a fan.

Core really suck, its been a well known fact for a while.
At the same time they are the official Apple reseller in SA and the official warranty agent.
Apple are allowing them to suck by not removing them and adding their own official channels.
