5.4" looks like the perfect size for me. I'm used to the 6.1" with the 11 and previously the XR now, but it took a while and I miss a smaller form factor.

I've gone the other way.

I wouldn't even look at the bigger phone 'cos I thought it was ridiculous. Then, when the time came to upgrade my X I figured what the hell, if I really hated the bigger phone I could just switch back.

Now I find myself looking at the Pro Max and thinking, 'Why is it so small? Have I picked up the wrong phone?'

6,4 to 6,7 isn't a huge jump but I want it noooooowww...

I still have separation anxiety from my 8. I absolutely loved that phone and it was a perfect size, but of course the smaller battery is the problem in a smaller phone.

I'll find it hard to change to a 12 though as I've got a dual nano sim 11 which is incredibly handy with the travelling I do. An eSim from Vodacom would change that of course, but I'm not holding my breath.

Yeah, I get that.

I'm looking forward to the redesign 'tho... In fact, I'm looking forward to iOS14, and the phone, and Big Sur, and the Apple Silicon Macs.

I’m worried about those smaller battery capacities combined with how much power 5G needs versus the 11 series battery life, really cannot go backwards from my 11 Pro Max which has been an absolute battery beast.

I will probably get the 13 Pro Max (12S?) or 14 Pro Max (13?). I think there are going to be some lessons to be learnt with their 1st gen 5G Devices.
