Pre-ordered a pro last year (12 Dec) and was told the other day that I was 356 on the waiting list. Got a call, from iStore, today asking me if I would opt for the Pro Max instead, due to "...stock constraint on the iPhone 12 Pro". I still haven't decided yet
 
Added to the waitlist on the 12th for the pro max, nothing yet apart from follow up messages if I’m still interest.
I asked about the stock that shows as available on their website and they responded that they don’t keep track of online stock, and that stock isn’t for cellular contracts/upgrades..
 
I'm going in tomorrow, to pick up a 12 Pro for my wife, as she isnt happy with the battery of the mini :( Phoned yesterday to see if they had stock, they called today that they have arranged one for me and should be there tomorrow. You maybe ask for a color that is hard to source? I'm getting the white \ silver one.

This is from a SP not direct from Core

It took a little bit of getting used to the battery life after the 11 but I’m there now. I’m not such a heavy user anyway. Max 4 hours SOT a day I suppose. Just now for example I’m sitting at 2 hours 20 minutes SOT and 46% battery left.

What will you do with the Mini btw?

Either sell it, or the 11 Pro. Currently using my old 11 Pro for work. So torn between keeping the mini, or the 11 Pro.

Currently running the 12 Pro Max, but I really like the mini, fond memories of iPhone 5 days.

I guess the mini would be easier to carry around with me. Instead of a Pro Max and an 11 Pro. Pocket tends to get heavy
 
I did an upgrade last week online and my phone was shipped today from the iStore. I do have a Silver iPhone Pro Max 128GB on hold at Cavendish if anyone would like it? Message me.

Exactly why I’ve been dreaming of a smaller iPhone since I moved from the 8 to the XR. Sure the battery is great on the bigger phones, but I just can’t get used to the sheer mass and weight in my pocket.

I’ve got the 11 sitting looking at me on my desk waiting for me to crack. But this wee mini is carrying on like a boss and I reckon the 11 is starting to despair a little :D

I took my daughters Mini and got her the regular 12 after she complained about the battery. I also average about 4 hours SOT per day but I only use roughly 50% of the battery.

Most of my interactions are done via the Mac and Watch, though, so this tiny battery doesn't worry me at all. My 11 Pro could net me 2 days and some change.

What I do notice on the Mini is that voice calls hammer the battery.

Believe it or not, incredible connection out of all places has a 12 Pro Max.. currently doing the upgrade paper work now...

Who would’ve thought..
 
I'm considering trading in my XS Max at the iStore for a 12 Pro Max.

iStore is still willing to give R10000 for my XS Max which is more than I can sell it for second hand.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max will then cost R16000 out of pocket.

Would it be worth it?

I am also kinda conflicted because the the S21 also looks like a nice deal with all the extras you get. And for R17500 it is not a lot more than the 12 Pro Max.

I am however invested in the Apple Ecosystem which obviously makes it more difficult. I have an Apple Tv, Watch, iPad and Macbook.

Then I also have a Oneplus 7t Pro as my backup phone which I play around with whenever I get bored of my iPhone. (I struggle to use it as a daily because the cameras arent as good as the iPhones).
That’s why I am also considering the S21 as it has better cameras than the 7T Pro and my current XS Max.

First world problems? Sounds more like bragging about all your devices rather than asking for advice to be honest.

Edit: if you actually want a serious answer, your Apple watch will be useless on the S21. For the MacBook and Apple TV: Doesn't matter if you get the iPhone or Android.
