Been an android user all my life, going to move to an iPhone 13 Pro Max...I will love using iOS compared to Android because...
Looking to get a Pro Max... anyone managed to get one after the initial launch (i.e. not secured with pre-purchase or bought on contract)?
Trying to do using Vitality Purple trade in benefit... but no luck ... no phones available for cash in Sandton/Fourways area.
I just received a 13 pro max on MTN upgrade. Applied on Monday and received nowAnyone know where I can get the Pro Max? No one has stock...

11 Pro Max currently. Switched up from the X then, and I'll be getting the 13 Pro Max when folks get stock now.Been watching more Pro Max reviews since I saw it in store. Granted, I wasn't able to physically pick up the phone because it was pretty much clamped in its housing which is bolted to the stand, so the thing that's standing out more and more is the practicality of the phone. Reviewers are saying it's a bit cumbersome, can cause hand cramp if you try use one hand to operate it, etc. "Ultra" type Androids tend to be taller, but narrower at the same time, so easier to hold. The Pro Max is a wide boy, and at like 240g, not exactly on the light side. With a case, it's going to be even wider.
So my question to everyone in the thread who got the Pro Max already is how does it feel in hand? Another complaint is how difficult it is to transport daily, eg: in the front pocket of a pair of jeans.
I'll pull into an iStore to get a proper valuation for myself before making a final decision, but hearing your experiences before then would be helpful, too.
For reference, I'm 1.78m and have average-sized hands.

Well said. I was worried about switching from Android but as cliched as it is... "everything just works".For met personally, it was ironically the reduced choice. There is something to be said about the endless options, flexibility and customization options if android, but I’m at a point where I just don’t care anymore.
The most customization I really need is my wallpaper.
I do like how consistent things are, with android at times your notice a disconnect in UX even between googles own apps.
Have a Mac and and iPad throw in that ecosystem benefits which are also great if you have that, but honestly I’d still use the iPhone.
While I can agree that android almost always have features ahead or even well ahead of iOS, I have seen that in many cases iOS has implemented the feature better.
Google works in silos, so nothing they build is designed to integrate deeply, it’s designed to work in its thing and anything else is a bonus.
Lense for me is the biggest example, at least in 2019 when I still had a droid, the only way to copy text off an image was to use the lense app tilt whatever app they popes it into.
iOS brings it out like 4 years later, but it’s integrated into forms, pictures and the camera itself. So from any app or website in any input field you can access the scan ability, scan something and “paste” it in.
I’ve done that with adding beneficiaries to my internet banking, some strange people send photos of their Capitec cards.
I had an android for all 4 years lense was out and only used it when it launched, never again because it was this thing you had to remember, you had to go to the app to use it.
Apple stuck in your face so to say.

If I open this image in my gallery, I get the scan text indicator as it detected text on that sign in the back.
Cellucity called me yesterday and told me they had the 13 Pro in grey. Got it yesterday and loving it! The 120Hz screen from my iPhone X is a huge improvementIt does look like they have stock but by the looks of it, Cellucity can’t get the phone from Vodacom even though I applied for a Vodacom contract via Cellucity. If you’re wondering why I didn’t apply with Vodacom directly, the pre order process kept failing for me.
Out if interest, what android phone?Beating a dead horse here, but been on iOS for years. Last year decided to get another phone for business and grabbed an Android phone. I wanted to like it, I really did. Last week was the last straw and I changed to iOS again. All is well in the world again.
Funny enough, my wife was stuck on Android for years and refused to go iOS. This changed when I gave her my 12 pro max and she realised how cohesive things actually can be

Can I use devices from other networks for Wi-Fi Calling?
- For customers porting into Cell C from MTN and Telkom Mobile, the device software will need to be updated. Vodacom devices will not work as the software is not compatible. Cell C will send a message with a link to all compatible devices for an over-the-air update.
Was looking to upgrade a data contract I have on Vodacom
The only thing bugging me is CellC state they do not support wifi calling on Vodacom Iphone's and the reason is they have custom settings or carrier update on them or something?
So I dont want to get an iphone with weird custom software. I am heading back to the UK next year and dont want to have issues.
Can anyone share some light on this issue? Am I worried about nothing
