iPhone 13 discussions

Of course... its Backstreetboy. He's the resident Apple hater, and can't accept it when an Apple device beats his Windows or Android device in any department.
I guess years ago I was in the same camp. And for the record, I still use an Android device. My decision to make my next phone an iPhone wasn't taken lightly, either, and came after months of research.

The main factors that made me question Android phones were:

- inefficient use of hardware. Yes, 12GB of RAM on a phone sounds amazing! But when a device with half as much does a better job, something's not quite right.
- battery life, related to the above hardware's inability to optimally work with the operating system. Android's come with super-zomg-fastcharging simply because their batteries drain so quickly. Fast charging also degrades the battery much quicker.
- security is also sorely lacking, with everything on the device going through Google (or worse - looking at you, Chinese brands) at some point.
- bloatware: unless you buy a Pixel, you're not getting the pure Android experience, and have to deal with all the additional, unnecessary crap the manufacturer stuck on the phone. I shouldn't have to root my phone to get the standard experience, either.
- resale value on Android devices is abysmal, even the flagships, because every year they need to make the new phones infinitely better than the previous to keep up with the competition, and this usually means including gimmicks (Sony's 1-inch camera sensor - entirely pointless because only a fraction of it is exposed by the comparatively tiny camera lens).

I could go on, but at this point I don't think I need to.

Does anyone got the iPhone 13 Pro Max from MTN via contact yet? They keep telling me they are waiting for stock.

Also getting this response from Vodacom. iStore are hopeless, imagine not knowing when stock of the items you are the sole importer of are arriving in the country.

Pretty useless. I ordered a 256gbIphone 13 PM but think I wanna change this to 512GB to help with longevity

There's a shortage worldwide at the moment. Difficult to find any 13's in the UK that don't come with a 3-4 week waiting period. Availability will be a lot worse at the arse-end of the world I'd imagine.

Don’t expect much if any deals on new tech, their are way too many shortages, we’ll be getting “real” tech sales and not this Takealot save 10% on a 50% extra markup crap in like 2024/5 again.

Maybe the old crap will go on sale to get rid of the old crap, but that’s also only really if their is stock on the newer stuff justifying a discount in order to flog it off.

Wonder when we should expect supply to come in again here. Maybe we should hold out till the next iphone xD
