iPhone 14 battery discharging while plugged in

this morning it seems my phone 14 on ios18, battery discharged while plugged in to the 2A charger overnight. Has anyone else seem something like this?

Happened to my iPad twice in the past, I think the connection conked out and made the software not take the charge while thinking it did. Only replugged to charge again and never happened for years again.

Hopefully it's the same with you or some lint, worst case the cable.

My 14 still charges fine. I use wireless charging mostly.

Try restarting it and see if that helps.

i've had this happen on various iOS beta versions, reboot of the phone usually gets it back in order

excuse me! I bought it from checkers, three pin old school plug and a trusty bedside companion for years

Almost certainly the charger or the cable.

Try clean the connector with one of those alcohol wipes.
